Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)
RLD (Reflexology Lymph Drainage) is an award winning reflexology technique by Sally Kay which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. The aim is to stimulate the function of the lymphatic system and drain excess lymph from the damaged area using a unique sequence.
Lymphoedema is defined as tissue swelling due to the failure of lymph drainage. After breast cancer a person may experience psychological or emotional difficulties due to altered body image, and a swollen limb can exacerbate this. The entire treatment takes place on your feet which is deeply relaxing and uses very light pressure. Reflexology Lymph Drainage is very similar to Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) except the treatment takes place on the feet so it is less invasive.
This technique can be used to help with conditions other than lymphoedema including; arthritis, asthma, eczema, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, ME, sinus problems. migraines. headaches, muscular tension, aches and pains and pre-menstrual syndrome.
On 20th August 2020 I received my certificate to confirm I passed my case study!!!
What is incredible is that a client suffering from oedema couldn't believe she had to tighten the strap on her shoes on leaving my treatment room as her feet had shrunk during the treatment. The fact that the result is instant makes it even more exciting!
I am on the RLD Approved Reflexology Practitioners list.
Cranial Reflexology
Cranial Reflexology Bergman Method is unique in the genre and is the only Cranial Reflexology method which uses underpinning reflexology-specific knowledge and skills, and the 10 Zones. It also considers all three theories for the ‘breathing inhale and exhale’ of fluids which pulsate when you are working on the head surrounding the brain. The sequences are applied to the cranial area at the top, sides and back of the head.
Drawing from shamanic and somatic bodywork as well as tapping, this style can be firm enough to shift stuck fascia through strong massage techniques, and yet gentle, when this quietness lends to the flow. A key element of this training is ‘feeling’ fluids and movement ebb and flow, and interpreting this. Cranial Reflexology Bergman Method is profound and brings a deeper exploration, layering of healing and insight from 30+ years of practice.
Cranial Reflexology can be incorporate into any treatment / package I offer.
